Orlovec River - webcam from the nest in Latvia
Osprey - description
Webcam from the nest orlovce říční. We recommend turning on the sound, orbits often show sharp whistles, typical for them.
The Orlovec River is a medium-sized bird from the orbital family. It achieves lengths 55-58 centimeters. The wingspan is 145-170 centimeters. Orlovec lives mostly in the vicinity of the sea coast, the lakes and larger rivers. Its food consists of 99% of fish that fish on the water surface. Nest orbits often occupy other birds of prey that are placed on the highest trees. Both parents, but above all the females, sit on the eggs. The male feeds on the nest. Orlovci sits on eggs 35 to 38 days. Young orbits from the nest fly out at the age of 50 to 60 days.

Osprey in Latvia - live
One of the parents brought a fish. He stood with a fish in his buttock and did not trust his eyes. Looking at the young one, looking around. Count on how he counts, there's only one left. Second comes for lunch.
:))). Who knows if he thinks he was not visiting the hawk again.
So I say, from morning I did not look what's new, I look at the record, read the comments. There is a feast in the nest that participates in 6 (she must still gain strength in the wings to try what she saw yesterday at 8 :)). The eighth wind blows the wings to stretch at least in the nest. Then the camera cuts off, a couple of seconds and 8 is fucked, I did not see the departure :( Sixth is relaxing after the feast, the female is watching where the child is flying her :).
So now there is a terrible wind - it doesn't look like flying… we have to wait…. :-))))
So here it is…. flying…
it's gone again, and it's pretty straight - smears and I fly, no long preparations, so now the smaller ones have to train ;-))
I finally succeeded. That was "divine", a pity I can't save the video. About -3,5 hours of recording, probably around 18 CET, first training on the nest, when 8 rose several times like a quadcopter over the nest and after a while frrrr and was gone. A moment later, it looked as if 8 hit a branch, the tree and the nest shook and 6 lay down, buried its beak in the nest 🙂 and imitated the grate :))). Then a little yawn, adjustment of plumage, also training ala quadcopter and after about 20 minutes the return of the big 8, with even greater admiration 6 :). SUPER !!!
I do not know if the time is correct, but the record was 19.7.2016, time around 14: 35. :)
Mio, I'm having fun 😀 if you humorously describe all the departures, you could even publish it called "Departure Book" 😀
:))). I'm just "farting" here, so that when something "misses" (it happens to me quite often), so that the observers are a bit in the picture :).
and a tip for Miu - if you don't enlarge the picture, now it's a good idea to return the first departure - it's about in the first quarter
Thanks, I've already got it 🙂
Oh no. I'm still getting stuck with this camera, so I'm not looking for years. But the comments are so colorful that I almost see it :). Maybe something gets into the notebook. She has not been called for a long time. She did not fly out of the nest :)))?
😀 Petra added videos for black storks a while ago - they started flying today too, so she probably doesn't know where to fly before 😀…. and you're right, Mio, the camera is angry, I can't find anything now either, but you can see that it was flying again, so maybe tomorrow
Good evening MIO, I'm not far away, at home they tell me that my queen grows :)))
Also, the transmission is choppy, every time it appears that the transmission has ended. Unfortunately, there are no videos available.
So today at least 3 times a flight prospect, but the other little one is still scared, training, but so far nothing, we'll see tomorrow…. maybe he will also dare :-)))
It was amazing. When he came back, it seemed to show the other, "Look, that's how it's done." And he was staring at him admiringly. I think he'll try it today or tomorrow. He won't be alone in the nest.
Mrs. Renato, you are right how beautiful he was, he did not know what was happening and as if frightened that he was there alone ……
that yes 🙂 was touching…
Jéééé, so I came back, he's handy, and the other one tried as well, but he was probably still afraid…. great….:-)
I really liked the reaction of that - probably younger sibling - when the kite returned to the nest. It was visible on him how it was drilling in the head, he looked at it, then he rearranged the nest for a while, in the meantime he trained a little, what was going on in his head ??? :-))
So here we are flying, so one day has dared!
I think it was before the rain, and the other was totally fucked where he disappeared, I think he will want to swiftly monkey :-))
jééé, return it !!!! One already flew off and after a while she landed well back home :-))
So it's raining here today…., I think the chicks fly out every day… they're not far off….
Yes, it is almost time for the first flight, the young ones are nesting on the edge :).
It stands with its bowed heads, as the embodiment of humility :).
I just looked at the chicks, one was 0A8 (it seems to me older) and one was lying. Then the two youngsters were interested. He's funny when he looks around as they swing their heads from side to side. Well, then some bird gave the sound and the lying cub was stuck in the nest so that it could not be seen. Now they both stand and watch something in the sky. (It seems to me that the remaining cubs are 0A6 and 0A8, yesterday the fish feed the juvenile itself probably 0A6).
The camera has been broadcasting here in the last few days, and intermittently interrupts transmission.
Here they are almost self-sufficient. 0A5 took care of the prey and feed itself. The second cub is miserable. The female flew off, maybe one more catch :).
And the second cub because nothing else is left, so he trains the wings and repairs the nest :).
And, after adding energy, beautiful preparation for flight. The other youngster was about to shave.
Gentlemen, they are already handy and big, they will fly out of our nest in a moment…
they train their wings beautifully - they no longer fly
So here in the wind it looks like rain. The female and the young are standing in the nest, the female has a beautiful, noble look.
They are currently feeding. They are very good.
Even today, according to the record, parental supervision is apparent, even to both parents.
Would there be information on how young are old and when can I expect a first flight?
Good evening, chicks are 41 and 40 days, orllows fly out in 50-60 days.
Thank you for the info. They look "almost done". Today, one chick "experienced" rearranged the edge of the nest :).
Today he is watching the nest, the young man is sleeping despite the constant wind.
The youngsters are there for most of the day and now in the early evening all alone. I'm afraid the hawk will not come back soon when he finds it simple and without a fight. Maybe one of the parents is near, but I saw him in the nest once, maybe twice .
The abduction might have been a struggle. The female was probably sitting behind the camera and flying right behind the hawk and then hearing the crash. There could be a duel, perhaps the hawk and the young could let go, but the end is not so good.
Still alone, a quiet and safe night.
She wrote about Petra. The video is in the Notebook. It was so fast that the other two siblings did not even notice it. I hope it was quick for that little ass that he was not worried.
Bresto, would not it be a video link? I read Petra's statement, but I did not find the details anywhere. I do not know if I'm looking right.
Hello MIO, video is added in scratchpad, under photos.

Thank you. 0A7 - Very sad :(. How thin the line is between life and death. One must die for the other to live. Maybe if he pressed with the others, it might not have turned out that way.
And it came about in front of the eyes of the females that the predator followed by :(.
13.35 I have just come to feed, not even the great wind, and they do not seem to mind the storm. The two teenagers are beautiful and are training their wings. Maybe they will need them soon, they are also trying to "repair" their nest.
It's a pity. They're as big as the "ours" in Estonia. But the Hawk has to feed its young, too. That's it. They'll probably grow up healthy.
Splendor. Is the third chick being lost as a presumption or certainty according to the record?
I mean the cause of the loss.
