Osprey - description
The Orlovec River is a medium-sized bird from the orbital family. It achieves a length of 55-58 centimeters. The wingspan is 145-170 centimeters. Orlovec lives predominantly in the vicinity of the sea coast, the lakes and larger rivers. Its food consists of 99% of fish that fish on the water surface. Nest orbits often occupy other birds of prey that are placed on the highest trees. Both parents, but above all the females, sit on the eggs. The male feeds on the nest. Orlovci sits on eggs 35 to 38 days. Young orbits from the nest fly out at the age of 50 to 60 days.

Good evening Marcelo, yes it was a barn owl, when eagles are out of the area a few owls sometimes stay in the nest, rather they use it as an observatory and "dining table". The otters have a nest nearby in the woods, in 2017 there was a camera near the nest. The eagles flew south for the winter. This year, this nest was taken over by goose, so Charlie and Charlotte nested on a second platform that does not have a camera, the image was transmitted from a distance, this year they bred two young C10 and C11. Last observation of eagles 2020 in the Charlotte area: September 11 at 15:11 C11: September 16 at 12:50 pm C10: September 21 at 7:25... read more
13.9 The Montana Department of Environmental Quality issued air quality warnings for Flathead, Granite, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral,
The counties of Missoula, Powell, Ravalli and Sanders are valid until
September 14, 2020 due to heavy smoke in a fire and increased concentration particles.
10.8 This year the nesting was successful here, although not on the original nest, which was taken over by goose mats… nevertheless Charlotte and Charlie raise two chicks on a plateau a little further from the original nest.
3.8 Young eagles grow like out of water, perhaps next year they will nest in their original nest.
11.5 - 17:50 CET PIP on eggs - goose hatches
10.5 The young goose should slowly hatch.
17.4 Updates
16.4 at 19:43 UDC on the second platform appeared the second eagle. Definitely a female because Charlie didn't drive her out! But we can't tell if he's Charlotte. We need to take a closer look at it as we approach our camera.
Let's look at how activities evolve today. Will they mate, see fish supplies, will Charlie build a nest there, or will he try to get his original nest back? Since we don't have a camera on the second platform, we can only watch from a distance. And that will be the main focus for our cam-ops. As soon as one of the eagles leaves the platform, they try to follow them.
14.4 Yesterday afternoon 13.4 resident male Charli returned to the area and began to fight for the nest. Meanwhile, the goose wins.
11.4. In Montana, the goose fell snow
And they already have three eggs
