Orlovec river - description
Webcam from the nest orlovce říční offers a view of two occupied nests. We recommend turning on the sound, orbits often show sharp whistles, typical for them.
The Orlovec River is a medium-sized bird from the orbital family. It achieves lengths 55-58 centimeters. The wingspan is 145-170 centimeters. Orlovec lives mostly in the vicinity of the sea coast, the lakes and larger rivers. Its food consists of 99% of fish that fish on the water surface. Nest orbits often occupy other birds of prey that are placed on the highest trees. Both parents, but above all the females, sit on the eggs. The male feeds on the nest. Orlovci sits on eggs 35 to 38 days. Young orbits from the nest fly out at the age of 50 to 60 days.

A pair of uncircled eagles in the lower nest, 18:31:10, brought the male the fish.
I wonder how ornithologists can be sure that it is last year's female Iris, when unlike Iva is not ringed.

I went through the eagles on the map and everybody wintered in Africa in 2018, don't you remember Hansel what the eagle was called what he wintered in Spain? I know that in Spain, last year the spotted eagle wintered Tõnn, but I cannot recall the eagle.

Orlovec Vija (as I wrote below) set out on the western migration route and was the only one (monitored) to fly through our republic. He flew over Hradec Kr. Jihlava, the Opatovice pond t in Třeboň and the flight over the Lipno reservoir, left our territory. Further via Austria, Germany, Switzerland to France. It is currently flying near Lyon, France, and I think it is heading to Spain, where (in my opinion) it is wintering. 🙂
About the Estonian eagles Markus and Kalle Since Urmas about Markus and Kalle Markus is in the north of Estonia, so I didn't visit him in the nest. According to the transmitter at the time of reproduction, I was almost certain that Markus had chicks this year, but when Aarne checked the nest with a drone - there was nothing alive in the nest. 10.9 looks like Nele and Iv are on their way to wintering grounds. They had not shown up in the nest since morning.

It's nothing at all. It's so empty today. I hope that Ivo managed to strengthen on the way, yesterday he felt quite thin. The girls let him take over this year. So let them fly nicely, without harm, and in the spring I hope to meet Ive and Iiris again. The young return only for the third year, so we will have to wait a little longer for them, if they ever show up at the nest.

Very alive yesterday and dead this morning. Perhaps yesterday's feast was not the last this year. But on the move map, a decent smear. Orlovčice Elena was not updated for several days and her last location was Greece. Today's update took my breath away! It has flown over the Mediterranean Sea, all of Libya, almost all of Chad, and to wintering grounds in tropical Africa, this "jet pilot" has something to throw away. This year, it looks like it will winter a little further east and maybe it won't lose its signal for many months ... like last year. 🙂
Hansel, the feast continues today. In 9: 14: 55 came to Pilvi's nest and in 9: 15: 22 Ivo brings fish. She was not in the nest yet. Orlovci flies nicely, but I am quite worried about the black stork Aru, still staying in Latvia.

Hello Hansel, Pilvi was in a nest in 6: 15: 17 then flew to the tree. In 6: 16: 49 arrived Ivo with a piece of fish and immediately after him came Pilvi, took over the fish and after a while flew away. Last year, Iva was last observed at 6. September.
