Olifants River, Kruger NP
Olifants River - description
This camera is located on the banks of the mighty Olifants River near Naledi Game Lodge. This river is a tributary of the Limpopo River. The source of the Olifants River is between Breyten and Bethal in the province of Mpumalanga. It flows northeast through the Kruger National Park and Mozambique, about 190 km from the coast flows into the river Limpopo, which is also called the Crocodile River. This camera is one of the few cameras that continuously captures the majesty of a wild, enduring African river.
In the river you can regularly see hippos and crocodiles, while elephants and giraffes are seen grazing on the banks and crossing the river. Other animals that often appear in front of the camera include baboons, great crested grebe, woodpeckers, impalas, storks, herons, and owls. They can also be seen foraging along the shores.
