Eagle Owl - Webcam
Owl - description
Vine grows 46 to 68 cm in height, wingspan 101 to 153 cm and weights about 1400 g. Generally, the largest owls are closest to polar regions and the smallest owls near the equator. The females are slightly larger than the males. Adult owls have large ears, a reddish-brown face, and a white spot on the throat. The upper part of the body is sprinkled, the bottom of the body forms a yellow-brown vertical wavelet. Early "throats" are only pens and are not related to the hearing aid. They have a great hearing that allows them to find the precise location of their prey.
Barn owl - live

6.4. 10,35 is trying to swallow half the mouse, the other is allowed to feed. Both females in one nest on abandoned egg no interest. I have not seen the third cub yet, both females are stuffed so the chicks are seen only when they try to climb out of the feather wall. Females are already amiable, so this method probably suits them, so the interest in the same sex is not just for people.
5.4. pantry on the sill, girls still in one nest
01: 15: The 54 male comes with a mouse
4.4. 8,10 is looking at the world and yawns at it. Both owls in one nest!
10,37 feeding, prick are mainly seen bigger, feeding about both, S fled to another nest, long it did not hold on
3.4. 05,16 again on one nest, eggs abandoned
12,54 is sitting again in one nest. What do experts say? Does S. know that nothing in her eggs will be so hot in the sun?
10,54 is still moving, at this time again on one nest and both are on guard. 11,02 each in your own
2.4. in 2,34 both females again in one nest, the eggs abandoned
01: 07 male brings another mouse
00: 45: 50 Both Females Heat the Cubs in Jin's Nest, Mounted Male Mouse
14,20 is occupied by both nests even though it seems to me that in 12,56 when they finally split their nests changed?
15,00 now sits Jaru right, Siena left and Jina right
4.1. 10,33 S again moves to the next nest, leaves his eggs free, girls fight! S, pushes J. out of the nest. On the windowsill at J. was a piece of prey S feeds, J runs out of the rest of the pack. Sometimes it seems to me like a "smart" mother S and a stupid daughter J, who needs to be monitored and controlled. At 11,23:XNUMX still both on the nest of J.
That's something 12,25 -13,21 probably helps Siena Jina heat spells, lies leaning on Jina and her eggs are without incubation. In 13,21, they begin to jerk and jerk until Siena succeeds in pushing Jina and spins warm Siena.
13,37 Jina gave up and went to sit on the egg to the left, several times trying to push Siena out of her nest, but it failed, so in 15,34 she sat to her right and turned her back, nesting left for an hour without incubation and Siena she still does not want to move from Jin's nest
8,37 finally has its own nest
from the 5,26 Sina record for the second time brought prey, I'm waiting for them to divide. 5,46 departs Jina, S moves to her nest. 5,46 returns J without success and begins to decorate. J. returns to 5,51 arriving with the booty and returning with her again. 6,06 J again without prey, S still sitting in the nest, so J sits for a while on the eggs, somehow can not agree, She does not want to retreat. In 7,06, both sit on one nest with youngsters, none feed. 7,16 is still both in one nest and now I do not even know which one is.
These are amazing girls, great comfort is observed 🙂
31.3. 6,37 girls sit with each other and dazzle each other, interesting nesting
00: 33 female Jina feeds off
19: 33 Lina left the nest, after a while Siena stood up from her eggs and went to feed and warm the nest to the nest. 19: 43: 40 arrives to Jina, Siena does not want to let her go to the nest, after a while Sina picks up and goes to the nest to heat the eggs. 20: 30: 55 Jina again leaves the nest, returns for a while. 20: 42: 11 this time departs Siena 20: 45: 53 Siena returns with prey. 21: 45: 20 arrives with the loot of Arie males, passes the prey to the female
Thanks for info Péťo, it seems totally unreal !!!!
3,45 brings Jina's food and after a while Siena tries to take her food. 4,41 feeding small cubs, 4,42 brought food to Siena male, 5,07 brought another female
6: 04: The 50 male comes with a mouse
4: 10 female Jina feeds, it looks like there are two cubs
Nest info:
Extreme nesting of two female virgin eagle owls next to each other!
Many thanks to the DRI IT team. They spent a lot of time setting up this camera for all of us!
Two females incubate eggs on a stone base on the ledge of an office building in Nevada. On the left is Sienna, sitting on 2 eggs, the other is Jina has 2 eggs and one chick. The third bird that appears on the ledge is a male, smaller in size than the females and was named Arie. So far no one has seen the other male. So far, the nesting of two owls next to each other has not been documented anywhere. We don't know if they are relatives, we would have to take blood samples, which would significantly disrupt them, and we don't know if the male Arie is the father of both clutches.
Females do not help chicks when clubbing from eggs. Young owls will be pink, unable to hold their heads (it takes 3 days) and very uncoordinated. Probably just lying there after they turn out. That's normal. It takes 10 days for them to open their eyes. There is no sound and we do not plan to add sound. You can watch the honking (no sound) usually around sunset and around sunrise. This is also the time when you are more likely to see Arie (3rd bird) male .. The sprayers are not working (they were turned off years ago). The "grass" behind them are the remains of dead weeds or debris that have been blown away by regular winds and storms. At night, the camera switches to IR (infrared). This means that it uses IR light to reflect objects. (Looks black and white). Due to the fact that they reflected a lot of light from them, it is very dark in the middle of the night. The white thing between two females is a stone on another dark stone. There is no clay under the stones - just more stones. Typical prey in our area are ground squirrels, lizards, scorpions, birds, rabbits, hares, moles, marmots (although it is unlikely that they could pick them up from the ground). The planting sill is along the entire length of the building. It seems that the birds don't care about our activities on the ground below them, but they take care of the activities in the office - these are the reasons why the blinds are closed. There will be plenty of space for everyone to move around.
The female on the left is trying to keep the other woman's food, which prevents her, but so tenderly. 23,58 did it, but the females on the right again do not protest so much, it is obvious they are used to sharing. It even seems to be feeding her bite for the young
Time on camera 20: 32: 40 arrives with male prey
25.3. it looks like some abandoned object, but I'm curious about how it looks like it. It is a shame that there is not much information, yet both mothers behave as dignified as if the other did not exist.
are these owls in the zoo or in the wild? And the males have one or each of theirs and they get so close to each other? I did not catch the nest, I do not know ..
It is a nest in the wild, the male mostly arrives early in the morning or in the evening. They do not know if there are two males, it looks like just one.
so it's unbelievable how 2 women and so many children will feed :-). This is probably a rarity…
It is really a rarity, I have never seen such a nest. It will depend on how much food is in the vicinity of the hunt and how the females will behave until all five chicks have hatched. I don't know what awaits us here… Last year the owl Julie had the opposite nesting, she had two males for a change.
New Camera !! Extremely rare nesting of two females of Virginia side by side. The nest is in Nevada. Females have names. Sienna is significantly larger than Jina. The male is called Arie.
From left is Sienna, sits on 2 eggs, Jina has 2 eggs and one cub.
12: 28 CHRISTMAS FOOD 🙂 WILL VISIT 2 OVERSEAS
