Zoo Brno is located near the Brno dam on the Mniši mountain on the area of 65 ha. Visitors to the Brno zoo can see almost 800 animals in 210 species.
Among the greatest breeding successes zoo includes the first litter of a bear polar bear in Czechoslovakia in 1976 or similarly the first chickens rearing in 1967.
