Rys red - description
Rys red is a feline beast known to twelve different subspecies. In America it is considered a relatively abundant species.
In his homeland he is called bobcat according to a short tail.
Extension Area: South Canada, United States, and Mexico.
Typically, the XYYYY is years of life, 10 has spent the most in the wild. Sexually mature is two years of life. He has sharp eyesight and good smell, he can also climb very well. If necessary, he can swim, but the water avoids.
Length 0,65 - 1,1 meter, height about 40cm, tail length 11 -19 cm and weight 5-15 kg (the largest species of the species live in the north). On average, he is the smallest representative of the genus of the feature.
The basic color varies depending on the subspecies - it is yellowish or brown, brown-red or greyish, always with stains, either on the whole body or on the underside (the lightest are the fur coats of the desert, the darkest features living in the woods).
The tail is always light (unlike the Canadian feature) There are bright spots on the back of the ears. Ear straps are short, with long hair on the cheeks. She has a cuff on her face. The eyes are yellow, with a vertical pupil (characteristic of all small cats).
The hind legs are longer than the front. They have retractable claws.
It inhabits various environments, from the desert to the mixed and coniferous forests. Nor does it evade the suburbs; we can not find it only in steppes.
Its territory is branded, it is heavily territorial and reclusive. The size of the territory varies depending on the sex and the abundance of prey in the locality. To mark the territory, they use both urine and dirt, as well as marks on trees (scratched claws). Unlike other cats, the females are more opposed by females.
In the southern part of the area, the rabbits are predominantly in the East American region, and in the north, the hares are migratory. In addition, they feed on rodents, deer and carnivores. It's not a prey and easy to adapt. He is a night hunter. The hunt is usually done with twilight (in the north in the winter, however, it goes hunting and in the day when there is a potentially greater chance of catching the prey). Every night, the distance between 3 and 11 kilometers will be set.
The rats encounter the opposite sex only at the mating season that is in the winter. If more territories of males overlap with the territory of the males, they mate with all. The young (mostly 2-4) are born in the spring after about two months of gestation. They are blind and completely dependent on their mother. After a week, they look around, and after about eight weeks they start to eat solid food. At that time, the female again drives the males and they go hunting with them and help them feed the chicks. Independence occurs after about five months, but sometimes the youngsters stay with their mother until spring. At birth, the puppies are weighing about 300 grams, after the first year of life, they have more than 4,5 kilograms.

Discussion
On September 14, the Big Cat Rescue team rescued a 6-week-old lynx kitten that was found all by itself in the middle of the road on a country highway. When we observed her at our Bobcat Recovery Hospital, we found that her right forelimb was significantly limping. The angel was taken to the Humane Society of Tampa FL and an X-ray showed a broken leg. Broken leg surgery turned out very well. Many thanks to the team at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay for caring for this little girl. She is recovering at Bobcat Rehab, where she will be confined to a small cage for a few weeks while her bone is being treated. He's back in his... read more
24.9 - Yesterday, the Big Cat Rescue team tried to save an adult lynx that was knocked down by auten 1-2 weeks ago and attacked by a crocodile, unfortunately the injuries were not compatible with life. https://www.facebook.com/bigcatrescuepresident/videos/790219755141903/UzpfSTEyMjE3NDgzNjk1NjoxMDE1NzQ3NDU4NDkwNjk1Nw/ When the rescue team got there, the injured cat pulled its hind legs behind and was chased by an alligator. It seemed to her 12 to 15 years, depending on the condition of the body, yellowed worn and missing teeth, and significant spondylosis (arthritis) throughout the spine. An X-ray showed that he had a broken left femur, a fracture on the right side of the pelvis, and an open fracture on the left side that had created a huge festering wound. It looked like she didn't... read more

Camera 1- CET 15.43 beautiful full screen shots of Papi's snout. He shoots his ears and listens to what's going on. 15.50 on a swing. Too bad some cameras don't run out of time.
14.8 Pipa has not been bored since morning, he played with a stick on a deck chair, jumped on a log and climbed the fence almost to the camera 🙂
Have a nice evening, Petro. At about 18.39:XNUMX p.m., Papi registered something and ran away. People were walking on the other camera, he was probably scared of them. He would need the company of a lynx, he's sad here. Perhaps then he can take care of himself in nature if his parents did not teach him to hunt.
I also wish you a nice evening Marcelo, when Papi grows up, lets him into the space on camera 2 and there he will learn to hunt. Along the fence are pipes that have several holes in them, there they throw a live rat or rabbit and Papi will lurk and hunt. When he learns to hunt enough, only then will he release him into nature. I have the impression that even here on camera 1 he sometimes throws something alive.
13.8 - 17:00 beautiful shots, Pappi is an amazing kitten 🙂
12.8 Rysáček Papi shows off today at 16:05 CET. A deck chair was enough for him to play. The 2 black kittens that were with him from the beginning were moved by the staff to the kitten building, where they are preparing for adoption. https://www.zoocam.info/kocka-domaci/
Those shots of Papi don't make a mistake 🙂 🙂 just a cat 🙂. It would be best if the kittens were adopted by both of them together, they are used to each other and they will miss them.
3.8. as I see Papi is already without companions, only a scratcher is left behind. I just hope that the black and white images that appear in the record belong to the time when there was a mother with kittens who wore them in her teeth and that it is not Papi who wore them like this.
There was only Papi and two black kittens.
24.7 On camera 1 TRIO - lynx kitten and two black wild kittens Papi was born on April 27, rescued on July 6. Papi was too used to humans, was held by a couple who thought they were raising a wild cat. When he was big enough, he was sent to a rescue station for big cats and would be released back into the wilderness, but to break his addiction to humans, he lives with two wild kittens. The kittens were too wild for the station to place as pets, and it was planned that they would be released for adoption. They are now Papi's companions. However, it quickly outgrows them and... read more
