Osprey - description
Four webcams of the eagle's nest in Finland.
Three nests are found in northern Satakunta and one in southwestern Finland.
Pohjois-Satakunta's nests are under camera surveillance for 1-4 years and have their own Facebook page where information about the nest's events is updated. The curator is Jari Valkama Luomus.
The nest of southwestern Finland is now observed for the first year. Its patrons are Neuroliitto ry and the Finnish grid company Fingrid Oyj. The responsible person is Raimo Uusitalo, M.Sc.
Observed nest No. 1 is located in northern Satakunta and since 2005 the eagles have nested there. Ossi's male has a ring on his right leg. The ring was retrieved from camera photos in 2017 and 2018 and according to ringing data, the male hatched in Sastamala Karku in 2009. The female Alma is without a ring and there is no information about her birthplace.
Appropriate permits have been obtained from both landowners and the Center for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of southwestern Finland for nest monitoring.
