UPDATE: the oldest stork died on 10-07 at 11.05 am. Most likely, he suffocated with an oversized mole he had eaten the day before. We decided not to remove the young from the nest (for now), because we would endanger the second chick! The second chick cannot fly yet and there is a chance that it will fall out of the nest if we take the second chick away. We hope that the parents will throw the chick out of the nest. If that happens, we bury the young.
