Káně páskovaná – popis
Hnízdo se nachází ve městě Marietta ve státě Ohio.
Káně páskovaná (Buteo lineatus) je středně velká káně hnízdící v lesích na východě Severní Ameriky, v Kalifornii a v Mexiku. Je částečně tažná. Dorůstá 43–61 cm, v rozpětí křídel měří 94–111 cm a váží 486–774 g.Svrchu je převážně hnědo-bílá, spodinu těla má oranžovou s bílými pruhy a končetiny žluté. Ocas má tmavý, s množstvím světlých, v letu dobře viditelných pruhů. Loví malé obratlovce, převážně savce, ale také ptáky, plazy a obojživelníky. Je monogamní] a hnízdí na stromech, v jedné snůšce je pak 2–5 světlých, hnědě skvrnitých vajec, na kterých sedí zhruba 33 dnů.

We know they are the laws of nature …. the owl was maybe hunting for its chicks ….. but when you follow a nest and are happy for the adorable chick that comes to life, this result really is very sad …. we hope that next season will be better ….

I just connected to the webcam …. where did the beautiful chick go? I rewound the live, but it is never visible ….

22.3.- 12:31:22PM Samička snesla vajíčko. Vidět jsou v hnízdě dvě, ale je to časově od prvního snesení daleko, asi jich bude více. Uvidíme, kolik hlaviček se po vylíhnutí v hnízdě objeví 🙂

At 7:15 there are two in the nest, they are hard to see

The oldest is already jumping on the branches. 06:01 he was on the nest, then he jumped on the branch.

tu veverku žerou již několik dní, rodiče zbytek odnesou mimo hnízdo, nejspíše někde mají ledničku!
